Scholars of Mecca and the Last of the Companions: Abu Al-Tufail Amer bin Wathila Al-Laithi as a Model
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study of Islamic history, especially the blessed Prophet’s biography, is one of the most important periods of time for Muslim historians. The principles and teachings brought by this era has changed the course of all humanity, whose banner was carried by the master of human beings and the best of human beings, our master Muhammad bin Abdullah (Peace be upon him). There are many scholars who studied the biography of the Messenger (Peace be upon him), his battles, and his great companions. One of them is the subject of this study, namely Amer bin Wathila bin Abdullah bin Amr bin Jahsh and it is said Khamis bin Jarri bin Saad bin Laith bin Bakr Bin Abd Manat Bin Ali Bin Kinana Abu Al-Tufail Al-Laithi. It is said that Amr is the most faithful of the Companions according to people of hadith. He grew up in Mecca from which his personality and diverse talents become an important reference for a group of famous founders of biography and al-Maghazi, and the science of history. The research examines the Prophet’s biography through this personality trying to highlight his political, administrative and scientific life, his class, his journeys in seeking knowledge, his documentation, and his death.
