  • What is the level of learning motivation among students of the Department of Philosophy –College of Arts?

  • Is there a statically significant difference between the relationship of students understanding of philosophical concepts and their motivation to learn them according to variables of their academic stage?

To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher relies upon two tools.  The first one is a test about philosophical concepts. It entails (25) multiple- choice questions, and each question has four alternatives in which the validity and reliability have been confirmed. In addition, the researcher also prepares a learning motivation scale that includes (30) items, (15) of which are positive items and other (15) negative ones.  Accordingly, the researcher presents a number of recommendations, including: holding training courses and workshops for professors in order to implement newer strategies and better methods that help  to enhance students’ understanding of scientific concepts in the Department of Philosophy.
