Geographic distribution of special operations in Kirkuk Governorate and their effects for the period (2011-2022)
Main Article Content
Abstract
The crime rate in Iraq, particularly in Kirkuk, has been a cause for concern over the past decade. This is primarily due to the prevalence of terrorist activities in areas like Aden, which has created a significant disparity between them. The geographical conditions of Kirkuk Governorate have led to the emergence of fragile areas with distinct characteristics. This study focuses on analyzing crimes, particularly in Kirkuk Governorate, using available geographical data and techniques. It also aims to understand the operations and effects of various organizations, including ISIS, in terms of their temporal and spatial dimensions.
