Abstract
The aim of the research is to identify the effect of the teaching journey model on the achievement of fifth grade students in the subject of Islamic education and the development of their future thinking.
The experimental method with two equal groups was chosen according to the research in the first semester of the academic year (2020-2021). The sample consisted of (60) students, with (30) students in each of the experimental and control groups. The two groups were reinforced with several variables. The researcher prepared behavioral purposes for the scientific material, and teaching plans, and prepared two tools for research: an achievement test consisting of (40) objective items and a scale for future thinking consisting of (40) items with three alternatives. Their validity and psychometric properties were verified, and their stability was found. The completion of the teaching of the two groups and the application of the post-tests. The data were processed statistically. The results of the research showed:
1 - There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied according to the teaching trip model and the scores of the control group students who studied according to the usual method in the achievement test and the future thinking scale in favor of the average of the experimental group.
2 - There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group students who studied according to the teaching journey model before and after the experiment in the future thinking scale in favor of the dimensional average.
Based on these results, the researcher developed a number of conclusions and recommendations, and suggested conducting future studies.
