A Model for Evaluating Teaching Skills for Teachers of Art in Primary Schools

Abstract
The research problem is determined according to the following justifications:
1- Some previous studies that dealt with different aspects of the competencies of male and female teachers who acquire cognitive and technical skills during the preparation period have indicated how to employ them in the teaching process.
2- Adopting the descriptive approach in the process of obtaining data and information from the research community to determine the level of application of teaching skills in the field of art education.
The research aims to build a model for evaluating the teaching skills of teachers of art in primary schools.
The research community consisted of teachers of art in primary schools for the academic year 2020/2021, numbering (154) teachers, distributed over (84) primary schools affiliated with the General Directorate of Education of Rusafa II. A random sample was selected from teachers and teachers of art who teach art in primary school schools, their total number is (60) of both sexes male and female.
To show the results, the researcher used the following statistical methods:
1- Calculating the frequency of responses for each paragraph according to the three-dimensional scale.
2- Measuring the weighted mean and percentile weight for each paragraph.
The most important results are:
All the paragraphs of the model were positive, but ranged between (1.72 - 1.10) and weights of percentage ranged between (0.86 - 0.55), and it represents a good indication of the existence of a mental perception of art education teachers about Teaching skills to be followed in applying the educational content of this course.
