The Significance of (Al-Ahd) in the Qur’anic Context

Abstract
The contextual and semantic study is one of the most important linguistic studies, especially since the field of this study is the Holy Qur’an. It is clear from studying the topic of the present paper that the word (covenant) comes in the Qur’anic context with many meanings and connotations. They are (the commandment, in the sense of prophecy and leadership, in the sense of oath and oath, in the sense of covenant, in the sense of fulfillment, in the sense of monotheism, and in the sense of safety). This research tackles these meanings in the Qur’anic verses in a contextual study and compared the sayings of grammarians and commentators in directing these verses.
