Geographical analysis of desertification indicators in the Zab district
Main Article Content
Abstract
There are a large number of spectral indicators that can analyze various aspects such as vegetation cover, water resources, soil, and others. The satellites known as Landsat provide the opportunity to perform various operations using their spectral bands, and the result can be converted into a spectral index through which the state of drought or desertification can be expressed. Landsat visualizations are limited to between 4 Landsat and 7 Landsat for the period between 1990-2013 after The 2013 8 Landsat visuals were relied upon:
The study tagged (Analysis of indicators of desertification in the Zab district for the period 1994-2019) focuses on detecting spatial changes over a period of time for the manifestations of desertification, which will be obtained by modeling modern algorithms that dealt with the problem of desertification in the study area, and it is called indicators of desertification manifestations as an index (NDVI, NDWI, SAVI, NDMI...etc
