Abstract

The present research aims to know the effect of teaching Arabic using the Intustel model in developing the cognitive thinking skill of fourth-grade literary female students"by verifying the validity of the following hypotheses:

  1. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied Arabic according to the steps of the Intustel model and the average scores of the control group students who studied Arabic according to the traditional method used in measuring the cognitive skills of dimensional thinking.

  2. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the scores of the experimental group students in the scale of cardiac and dimensional cognitive thinking skills who studied Arabic according to the steps of the Intustel model.

  3. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the control group students in the scale of cardiac and dimensional cognitive thinking skills who studied Arabic according to the steps of the traditional method.

The researcher applied the experimental method with partial control. The researcher intentionally chose the fourth literary year in the schools affiliated with the General Directorate of Education in Kirkuk Governorate, to represent the field of experiment. There were 32 female students to represent the experimental group. They are exposed to the independent variable (Intustel model), and Hawija Preparatory School for Girls and its members (32) female students were chosen to represent the group whose students study Arabic in the traditional way. Before the scale of cognitive thinking, the researcher studied seven units in the experiment of the Arabic language for the fourth literary year. Seven plans were made for the experimental group, and seven for the control group. In the second hypothesis, the superiority was in favor of the experimental group in the scale, as for the third hypothesis, there was no difference between the pre and post-tests, and in light of the results of the current research, the researcher recommends that the Intustel model should be used. In the teaching of Arabic fourth year literary students, which has an impact on the development of cognitive thinking, the researcher suggests conducting a similar study to the current study in other educational materials such "as literature, texts, reading, and rhetoric.
