The Importance of Phillips’ Curve in Examining Unemployment
Main Article Content
Abstract
The issue of unemployment and its seriousness is one of the most important and high priority problems of the age, which almost all economies of the world suffer from. The danger of unemployment does not deprive a person of a source of expected livelihood, but rather necessarily deprives him social participation, fills him with feelings of the uselesness of his human existence.
Therefore, a lot of economic theories have been developed to find out the cause of unemployment, study it, explain its effects, and try to address it. These theories include the theory of (Phillips), which is known as Phillips curve. It focuses on the relationship between inflation and unemployment. The study aims to show the importance of this theory, and how it succeeds in diagnosing the causes of unemployment, and thus provides appropriate treatments .
