Features of Arabic Syntax in Nominal Sentences in "Syntactic Development"by Bergstrasser: A Theoretical Rooted Study
Main Article Content
Abstract
Languages is an important means of communication among the individuals in society. This means that languages differ in achieving this goal. Arabic is one of the best languages which can express human feelings adequately due to its wide range of structures and rich vocabulary.
The study aims at revealing the merits of Arabic on the syntactic level. Bergstraessers "syntactic Development" is chosen in the study as a corpus to prove the high status of Arabic as compared with other languages in the same family.
One of the results obtained in the study is the ability of Arabic to use common features shared by other co-member such as parsing and status. Indeed, Arabic has also the ability to create particles and assign new meanings for them to make them effective in their sentences.
